Escalators not working in Beliaghata subways

I want to highlight a serious problem faced by daily commuters in Beliaghata. The escalators in the subways here have not been working for quite some time. Every day hundreds of people, including school children, office-goers, elderly persons, and even patients, are struggling to use the steep stairs. For the aged and differently-abled, this becomes almost impossible.

Because of this, many people avoid the subway and cross the busy road directly, which is very risky and may cause accidents. The purpose of building subways is defeated if such basic facilities remain out of order.

I request the concerned authorities to kindly repair the escalators immediately and also maintain them regularly, so that citizens can travel safely and without difficulty.
